Starting Fasting month
Thousands of Muslims in Indonesia, have started their
fasting on 1st September 2008. This month precedes the
Idul Fitri celebration that marks the end
of the fasting month and is an exciting time to be in
Indonesia for the culinary delights available on the streets
and the gaiety of it all. In Bali, even in Bali, 90%
population is Balinese Hindu, many warung ( traditional food
stand) will have closed while fasting.
During the month of Ramadhan, Muslims fast from dawn to
sunset every day and in addition to fasting. For Muslims
this is a time for inner reflection, devotion to God and
self-control. In the Islamic month of fasting Muslims don’t
eat or drink anything from sunrise ’till sunset. This also
includes abstaining from sexual activity, smoking, partying
and any other form of entertainment. After Idul Fitri, it
will come Rainny season.
Idul Fitri will be on the fast October in this year.
Not only Government office, such as for processing Visas,
but also shops and offices will be closed while Idul Fitri,
around 7-10days.You will better to take the matter into
consideration.
PT. HORAS INDONESIA office will be opened except public
holiday and Sat&Sunday, but no operation for Construction works
and Public Natural stones.
